GHEED AL ALI STARTED HER ARTISTIC JOURNEY WITH A BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS DEGREE IN VISUAL COMMUNICATION, BEFORE BEING THRUST BY HER PASSIONS INTO THE WHIMSICAL WORLD OF FASHION IN 2009. A TRUE CONNOISSEUR OF ART IN ITS EVERY FORM AND GENRE, THIS EMIRATI TEXTILE DESIGNER’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE ART SCENE OVER THE PAST DECADE EVENTUALLY GAVE RISE TO AN EXCLUSIVE LINE OF HAUTE COUTURE ABAYAS KNOWN AS SONGES.

What makes the Songes collection so irresistibly unique is that the abayas are fashioned from luxurious fabrics that are meticulously hand-painted and embellished with rich, tribal colours and semi-precious beads. These customised works of art cater to women with an eye for the elegant and refined; traits that are reflected in the feminine and graceful silhouettes that define her collection and the very essence of the abaya.

Showcased at fashion icon outlet Harvey Nichols and exhibited for private viewings at the Dubai Ladies Club, we are thrilled to be able to display Songes in our collection of exclusive abayas. Gheed Al Ali has won us over so far, and with her currently pursuing more fashion courses at Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design in London, we can’t wait to see what she dazzles us with next.
